Deborah Lippmann | Summer '16 Collection: Happy Days Swatches & Review

Hello everyone! I'm finally catching up with things here. I've been waiting to post these babies on the site. I absolutely love the amazing shades these brands are coming out for the summer. For today's post I have some swatches on Deborah Lippmann's new summer collection: Happy Days: Cool. Bubbly. Groovy.
As described by Deborah Lippmann:
"Happy Days are here to stay with New shades from Deborah Lippmann that will never go out style. The duel-patented Gel Lab Pro formula infused with 10 exclusive ingredients help deliver health, wear, and shine ....plumped look similar gel without nail damage." So lets get to the beauties:
Beauty School Dropout- is a pretty bubblegum pink creme. The formula on this polish was amazing and opaque in just one coat. The application was super smooth, making it easy to apply on the nail. I applied one coat sealed with top coat.
My Boyfriends Back- is a deep cerulean blue creme. The formula on this polish was amazing and opaque in just one coat. The application was super smooth, making it easy to apply on the nail. I applied one coat sealed with top coat.
For this look, I thought to create jean-like nails using this shade. It was the perfect color to use especially since I've never created one before. First I applied one coat of My Boyfriends Back, for the base. Once completely dried, using a white polish for the brush stroke technique. I then added a few studs and Golden Lion Charm from WiiNo Shop. Lastly I applied top coat for a glossy finish.
Happy Days- is a gorgeous coral creme. Very impressed with the formula it is a dream, very creamy. The application was absolutely amazing, smooth like butter! You definitely can get away with a one coater, however for the swatch I applied two coats sealed with top coat.
Splish Splash- is a aqua green creme. Another favorite of mine and wonderful color that can be used all year round. The formula was perfection and was super easy to apply. This is two coats sealed with top coat.

For this look, I previously wanted to created some florals, however, instead I used one of Winstonia henna stamping plates designs. I think this combo fits perfectly, especially with a few brush strokes using OPI A Mirror Escape. I then sealed the design with top coat, for a glossy finish.
Overall I am very impressed with Deborah Lippmann's polishes and their unique colors. Their formula requires minimal coats, which makes the application easier and faster drying time, perfect for being gel-like polishes. You may now purchase these beauties for $64.00 in a set or $20.00 each.
