Hey Everyone! For today's post I have some really awesome rhinestones from Born Pretty Store. They have tons of amazing inexpensive nail art tools and accessories. Especially, new arrivals every other week, which is exciting to look through! I really don't work with rhinestones that often, although I was really excited to work with these.
But lately I have been experimenting, and wanted to see the different designs I can come up with. So when I received these colorful rhinestone wheel for review, first thing came up was mermaid nails. Nonetheless, I knew the perfect polish that would match perfectly.
When you receive the rhinestones they come in a nail wheel, with varies of sizes and colors (which varies on lighting). It contains 240 pieces in total, material acrylic and shaped is round flat back.Which makes it easier to place flat on the nails.
For the base, I began by applying two coats of Kiko 530 Pearly Blue Peacock on each nail. It's such a gorgeous color, and matched perfectly with the rhinestones. Once the polish was completely dried, on two of the nails I free handed mermaid scales, using a nail art brush, with white acrylic paint.
Now for the rhinestones! If you want a long lasting seal, you can add a dab of nail glue or, if like me, apply gel top coat. However, since this is for one day wear, I applied top coat, and used a tweezer to place the charms on each of the nails. (You can check out my review for the seashells here from Born Pretty Store).
Lastly, I sealed the design with H K Girl Top Coat, that's it! Overall, I loved how these came out. Loved the design and the look! At first I wasn't sure if it was too much. They grew on me, and I just couldn't stop looking at them.
The mixed round rhinestone wheel is $4.10 each and are a great to use for unique style and 3D style.
